GovernmentThis class will look at the foundation of the federal, state, and local government and the transitions that have taken place up to the current time. The course discusses rights of Americans and how government works for the citizens. In addition, civic duty and responsibility are key components in this course. This course places an emphasis on cross-curricular problem solving and analysis. Study will include reading primary sources, constructing and analyzing graphs and charts and utilization of other strategies to examine our nation’s political development. Students will take and pass the three tests required for high school graduation: U.S. Constitution/Government, Missouri Constitution/Government, and the EOC.
